Way to go Cincinnati Bengals. Your fan base must be thrilled that you signed wide receiver Chris Henry. He sure is talented, and fans like it when their teams sign players who can help them win. Here's the thing, though: Didn't you just kick him off the squad in April for being arrested ... again?

What's that? A second chance, you say? Okay, but didn't Henry already have one of those? In fact, he's had about three second chances, what with being arrested five different times. Now he's learned his lesson? Look, it's not that Chris Henry should never be allowed to play in the NFL again. He's not the worst person to walk the earth (though he may be one of the most immature). The problem is, Bengals, that you now have zero credibility with anyone, anywhere. After giving Henry the boot, your team gets a few injuries, and there was no one else?

How can anyone in the organization honestly warn their players that there are consequences for poor conduct when you just re-sign a guy you kicked off the team? Now they know that if a few injuries pop up, even if they were expelled for their behavior, they can still get a job.

For Henry's sake more than anyone, let's hope he gets things turned around. Because being out of a job and simply hanging out probably isn't the best thing for Chris Henry. But if he does not, and he burns the team, what do you say to your fans then?

Rookie Performances - Week 2 Title: Rookie Performances - Week 2

Week 2 of the preseason has wrapped up, so let's take a look at how some NFL rookies fared in their second week of action.

- Joe Flacco, QB, Baltimore Ravens: After his uninspiring 0-for-3 in the first preseason game, Flacco bounced back by completing 10-of-15 passes for 74 yards. He did not throw a pick, though he did fumble once.

- Chris Johnson, RB, Tennessee Titans: In his second consecutive strong game, Johnson ran eight times for 46 yards, and returned one kickoff for 30 yards. It's becoming more evident that he will be a big part of the Titans offense this season.

- Antoine Cason, CB, San Diego Chargers: Cason made three tackles, but he also picked off a pass and showed he knew what to do with the ball in his hands by rumbling 53 yards down field on the return. Unless something major occurs, Cason has the nickel corner job locked up.

- DeSean Jackson, WR, Philadelphia Eagles: The speedy Cal wide out was the leading receiver for the Eagles in their win over Carolina. Jackson hauled in 7 passes for 71 yards and returned five punts for 46 yards, an average of 9.2 yards per return.

- Chad Henne, QB, Miami Dolphins: Henne looked strong, completing 17 of his 26 pass attempts, good for 133 yards. He did not throw a TD, but he also didn't turn the ball over, which is a good sign for a rookie QB.

- Josh Morgan, WR, San Francisco 49ers: Continuing his impressive preseason, the sixth-round pick out of Virginia Tech caught 5 balls for 114 yards and a TD. He very well could be one of the Niners starters at some point in the near future.

- Rudolph Hardie, DE, Detroit Lions: Hardie is an undrafted free agent out of Howard, but he must have made an impression against the Bengals, as he accumulated two sacks during the contest.

The college football season is now less than two weeks away. With it comes anticipation towards the year's best match-ups. Let's take a look at some of those contests.

- Missouri vs. Illinois (in St. Louis), Aug. 30: A couple of top 20 teams go at it the first weekend of the season. Missouri's Chase Daniel (pictured) will start his Heisman campaign opposite Illinois QB Juice Williams in a re-match of last year's exciting Missouri victory.

- Ohio State at USC, Sep. 13: Two of the preseason's top three squads face off in maybe the most anticipated game of the season. The loser won't necessarily be out of the national championship race, although the winner may be the early favorite.

- LSU at Auburn, Sep. 20: The battle of the Tigers will answer some questions about the best team in the SEC West. Both teams are in the top 10 in preseason polls.

- Texas at Oklahoma, Oct. 11: This should be a good one as usual, with the winner likely taking the Big 12 South. It will be the toughest test for Oklahoma, a team many believe can make their way to the national championship game.

- Florida at Georgia, Nov. 1: This is a battle of SEC East squads, each of which are ranked in the top-five in preseason polls. At this stage of the season, it may be tough for the loser of this game to stay in the national championship picture.

- BYU at Utah, Nov. 22: A berth in a BCS bowl could be on the line here in the last game of the season for each team.

- West Virginia at Pittsburgh, Nov. 28: West Virginia will certainly have revenge on their minds after Pitt's stunning victory last season in Morgantown took the Mountaineers out of the national championship game. Soon after, Rich Rodriguez left for Michigan. Had West Virginia won, it's possible Rodriguez would still be there.

Fantasy: Running Backs by Committee Title: Fantasy: Running Backs by Committee

There can be nothing more frustrating for a fantasy football player than teams who use running backs by committee. However, these players can still be effective on your roster, which Jacksonville has proven over the last few years. Here is a look at how some tandems will play out this season.

Willie Parker and Rashard Mendenhall, Pittsburgh Steelers: This is an interesting one because you have an established runner with a first-round pick, and it just so happens that the established player is coming off an injury and scored all of two rushing TD's last season. But earlier in training camp, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin made the declaration that Willie Parker would get the goal line carries, greatly increasing his value. Mendenhall will still get his share of carries, but feel safe using Parker as a No. 2 back.

Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor, Minnesota Vikings: This isn't necessarily a RBBC, but more of an understanding that Peterson will be the man, with Taylor still getting his. Taylor's value comes because of Peterson's injury history, which is lengthy. When both are healthy, Taylor is clearly the second back, but he is still draftable because at any point he could become the starter again.

Maurice Jones-Drew and Fred Taylor, Jacksonville Jaguars: Fred Taylor is now 32 years old, well past the age when most running backs begin to break down. That will come at some point, and maybe even this season. Jones-Drew is the guy who will be getting into the end zone, and his value has increased a little each season.

Marion Barber and Felix Jones, Dallas Cowboys: Barber is going to be the workhorse back here, even though Dallas spent a first-round pick on Jones. Barber will get the tough yards and will certainly be the goal line back, with Jones getting most of his work between the twenties.

Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams: Because of the horribleness of the Dolphins last season, you don't hear much about this duo. But Brown, a former No. 2 overall pick, was on his way to a career year before injuring his knee in '07. And Williams is said to be working hard and in shape, ready to go. It's unknown how the carries will be split, but don't be surprised if both wind up being solid fantasy options.

Darren McFadden and Justin Fargas, Oakland Raiders: Expect this one to go down a lot like last year with Peterson and Taylor. Both will get their share in the beginning, but McFadden will wind up being the man towards the end of the season. Every report out of Raiders camp has glowed about DMC, so his status in fantasy leagues is moving up rapidly.

DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart, Carolina Panthers: Most people are writing off Williams and proclaiming that Stewart will be the man, but that's not necessarily the case. Stewart is still recovering from his injured toe, and he is not yet 100%. Williams very well could see the bulk of the carries early in the year, with Stewart playing a more prominent role later on. But it would be a mistake to overlook the amount of carries Williams, a former first-round selection, will receive.

Injuries So Far Title: Injuries So Far

With football comes injuries. It's simply inevitable. Here is a look at some of the notable injuries in camps so far.

- Braylon Edwards of Cleveland had his foot stepped on by teammate Donte Stallworth, and he had to go to the hospital to get stitches. He'll miss the team's next preseason game, but it doesn't sound like the injury is too serious. Also, both of Cleveland's top two draft picks are now out with injuries, as linebacker Beau Bell and tight end Martin Rucker will miss some time.

- Vikings safety Madieu Williams will miss six weeks with a neck ailment. This is a significant blow to a team that was counting on him to help shore up their awful pass defense.

- The Jaguars are without two wide receivers, Jerry Porter and Reggie Williams, as they recover from hamstring surgery and knee surgery, respectively.

- Rams fourth-round pick, CB Justin King, will miss the entire season with a toe malady. He was on his way to getting some quality playing time before getting hurt in the team's preseason opener.

- Pittsburgh lost their punter, Daniel Sepulveda, for the entire season also as he suffered a torn ACL. It may not seem like a big deal on the surface, but it certainly has an impact on the team's special teams play.

- WR Plaxico Burress is just getting up to speed now as he is still suffering from an injury to his right ankle. He had not practiced with the Giants until yesterday, and he still isn't going full bore.

These are but a few of the injuries suffered so far in camps. It's the one thing that fans, coaches, players and entire organizations fear about the preseason. Which is why players like LaDainian Tomlinson get little work in the exhibition contests, and part of the reason why the Rams are not yet fretting over the absence of Steven Jackson.
